“MALLRATS” Trailer

Here’s a trailer I made for a project I’m excited to share featuring Jack (@jackrasic) and Max (@whoisgwypo). Everything was shot in almost a 3 hour period at a location in downtown Toronto that I’ll be revisiting again for sure. I remembered coming here before from just wandering around but the tricky thing about wandering is that sometimes you’re actually just lost and can’t remember not only where you’re going but also where you went. As fate would have it, Jack and Max did some wandering of their own and found it by accident even before we were able to meet up. I guess that in the spirit of “rolling with the punches”, it made sense that after that, we also just wandered around and experimented with what we wanted to shoot and came out with some absolute gas. Huge shoutouts to these two and excited to work with them again.

Some lessons learned here was ONE: to shoot more video. Coming back from the shoot, I really wish that I could shift gears into a videography mindset to really capture more of the vibes of the shoot itself much like this trailer here. I told them that the next time will definitely be more video too. And TWO: if this is what we’re able to produce unplanned, the sky is the limit if we made actual shot lists, etc.
